Terms of Use

1. The service

SBOY is an online service offering tools to build a resume, get AI-assisted writing suggestions, check an ATS (applicant tracking system) compatibility score, tailor a resume to a job posting, and download it as PDF/DOCX. Some tools can be used without an account.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use SBOY.
• You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity in your account; tell us right away if you notice unauthorised use.
• An account may be used by one person only.

3. Free and Pro plans

We offer a free plan and a paid Pro plan. What each plan includes and current prices are shown on the pricing page. To prevent abuse and keep the service sustainable for everyone, we may apply reasonable fair-use limits, including to features offered as “unlimited”. We may change the features of the free plan over time.

4. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds

• Pro subscriptions are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record: Lemon Squeezy takes the payment and issues the invoice, and its terms also apply at checkout. Prices are charged in the currency shown at checkout, and taxes may be added depending on your country.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or 3-monthly) until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time. After cancelling you keep Pro features until the end of the period you paid for, and you will not be charged again.
• Refunds: if you email necati@sboyapp.com within 14 days of a subscription's first payment, we will refund it in full, no questions asked. Renewal payments are not refunded, but erroneous or duplicate charges are always refunded.
• Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.

5. Your content

Everything you put in your resumes belongs to you. You give us permission to process it only as far as needed to provide the service (storing, displaying, generating AI suggestions, exporting files). We do not use your content for anything else, and this permission ends when you delete your account.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you add and for having the right to share any personal data of others (e.g. a reference's contact details).

6. AI output and ATS score

• AI suggestions are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or not right for you. It is your responsibility to review each suggestion before using it and make sure it is true. Do not add work you did not do, skills you do not have, or made-up numbers to your resume.
• The ATS score is an estimate of how applicant tracking systems may read your resume. It does not guarantee any particular company's result, an interview, or a job.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful or misleading purposes or in a way that infringes others' rights (e.g. creating a fake resume in someone else's name).
• Try to harm the service, other users or our infrastructure, or to bypass security measures or usage limits.
• Use the service in bulk with automated tools, scrape its content, or use its AI features as a proxy for purposes unrelated to SBOY.
• Copy and resell the service or its templates.

8. Intellectual property

The SBOY software, design, templates, logo and copy belong to us. You are free to use resumes you create and download with SBOY for job applications and personal purposes. PDFs downloaded on the free plan include a small “Made with SBOY” note.

9. Availability

We work to keep the service running without interruptions or errors, but we cannot guarantee it. There may be downtime for maintenance, updates, or issues at our service providers. We may change, add or remove features; if we remove a paid feature we will tell Pro subscribers in advance. We recommend downloading and keeping a copy of your resumes.

10. Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or opportunity, or the outcome of any job application. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for intent or gross negligence) or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

11. Closing your account

You can close your account at any time by emailing necati@sboyapp.com. If you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, we may suspend or close your account, with notice where possible. If we close an account with a paid subscription without good cause, we will refund the remaining period.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We will announce significant changes on the site or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. As a consumer, you may apply to the consumer arbitration committee or consumer court where you live, within the statutory monetary limits. If you live in the European Union, the mandatory protections of your country's consumer law still apply to you.
